Cutting wheels are used to make a shallow scratch on the surface of the glass. When a pressure is applied from the other side of the scratched surface of the glass on to the scratch lines, a smooth crack will appear. Cutting oil is used to keep the scratch clean and open.

CNC cutting machines can cut the desired size and shape.
